Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how NouSphere Labs, Inc. ("NouSphere Labs", "we", "us" or "our") handles information when you use the BidYard mobile application and the customer quote pages we host (together, the "App"). We do not sell your personal information, we do not show ads, and we do not use third-party tracking or advertising SDKs in the App.

1. Information we process

Account information. Your email address and password (stored hashed by our authentication provider), and the one-time codes we email you to confirm your account or reset your password.
Business profile. Information you enter about your business, such as business name, trade, phone, email, address, license number, tax rate and quote defaults.
Quotes and price lists. Job descriptions, quote lines, prices, notes and the price list you keep in the App.
Your customers' information. Names, phone numbers, emails and addresses of your customers that you enter on a quote. You decide what to enter and are responsible for having the right to share it with us.
Customer page activity. When your customer opens a shared quote link, we record that the quote was viewed and, if they accept or decline it, their decision, the name they type and the options they choose.
Voice dictation. Dictation uses Apple's on-device speech recognition. Your audio is not sent to us; only the resulting text you keep becomes part of your quote.
Purchases. Apple processes subscription payments. We receive information about your subscription status from Apple, but never your payment card details.
Technical information. Our hosting providers keep basic server logs (such as IP address, device and request details) for security and reliability.

2. How we use information

To create and secure your account and keep you signed in.
To store your quotes, sync them across your devices and keep a copy available offline on your device.
To draft quote lines and suggest prices when you ask for an AI draft.
To show a quote to the customer you share its link with, and to tell you when it is viewed, accepted or declined.
To provide BidYard Pro, answer support requests, prevent abuse and comply with the law.

3. AI drafting

When you tap Draft with AI or keep "Find prices for me" on while dictating, we send the job description you wrote and your price list from our servers to Perplexity, which generates the draft and searches the public web for prices. We do not send your account details, business profile or the customer fields of your quote. Avoid putting customers' personal details in the job description itself. Perplexity processes this data under its own terms and privacy policy. Our AI service keys are kept on our servers and never in the App.

4. How we share information

We share information only as needed to run the App:

Service providers: Supabase (authentication, database and server functions, hosted in the United States), Perplexity (AI drafting and web search), Cloudflare (hosting of customer quote pages and this website), Apple (App Store purchases and on-device speech recognition) and our email delivery provider for account codes.
Your customers: when you share a quote link, anyone with that link can see that quote and your business details shown on it. Share links only with the people you intend.
Legal and safety: when required by law, or to protect the rights, property or safety of our users, the public or us.
Business transfers: in connection with a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, subject to this policy.

5. Data retention and deletion

We keep your account data for as long as your account exists. You can delete your account at any time in the App (Settings > Business > Delete Account). This permanently deletes your account, business profile, price list, quotes and the customer information on them from our database, and shared quote links stop working. Copies in backups and logs are removed on our providers' normal schedules. Deleting your account does not cancel an Apple subscription; cancel it in iOS Settings.

6. U.S. state privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to know what personal information we have about you, to get a copy of it, to correct it and to delete it, and to not be discriminated against for using these rights. We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, and we have not done so in the past 12 months. To make a request, email info@nouspherelabs.com from the email on your account. We may need to verify your identity, and you can appeal a decision by replying to our response. If you are a customer whose details a BidYard user entered, please contact that business first; we will help where we can.

7. Users outside the United States

The App is designed for the U.S. market, and our data is stored in the United States. If you use the App from elsewhere, your information will be processed in the United States, where data protection laws may differ from yours.

8. Children

The App is intended for businesses and is not directed to children under 13 (or a higher age where required by law). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

9. Security

All data is sent over encrypted connections. Each account's data is protected by access rules in our database so that only you can read it, and customers can only see the single quote whose link you shared. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we use reasonable safeguards to protect your information and will notify you and the authorities of a data breach as required by law.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the new version on this page with a new effective date and, for material changes, give notice in the App or by other appropriate means.
